(1) The world’s first Jura winemaker-led fine Cantonese cuisine and Jura wines wine dinner pairing the wines with shark’s fin soup, abalone, and “yellow oil crab” .
($1,238.00 NET per person. Thursday 7th August, 2008 at Fu Tung Cantonese Cuisine); and
(2) Hong Kong’s first ever Jura winemaker-led traditional Franche-Comté wine dinner, matching the wines with traditional hearty Jura fare .
($998.00 NET per person. Tuesday 12th August, 2008 at RDRG).
Jura, France’s smallest AOC region (1,800 hectares) sandwiched between Switzerland and Burgundy, is the producer of the mysterious Vin Jaune (Yellow Wine), made from the controlled oxidation of the Savagnin white wine. In these two dinners, you will be able to experience this mysterious wine and other Jura wines, led by Jura winemaker Mr. Frédéric Lornet of Cellier de Gennes (producer of the Frédéric Lornet brand of Jura wines).
