Two Washington State, USA Winemaker Dinners

Dear Wine Lover,

Situated at the 46 degrees latitude (somewhere between Bordeaux and the Loire Valley, France), Washington State vineyards enjoy the same lengthened daylight hours as the top French wine-making regions, with large temperature swings from warm, sunny days to cool, crisp nights, in short, the ideal conditions for producing premium wines.

However, drier and sunnier than the classic European grape-growing regions and with complete freedom to experiment, the region's wine producers, have created a style all their own -- wines with New World softness, fruitiness, and intense flavour, but at the same time, with Old World elegance, firmer structure, and greater earthiness.

We invite you to discover the taste of Washington State in two winemaker dinners this June:

  1. 'Old World Terroir, New World Vitality' ($598.00 + 10% service charge):  Wednesday 25th June, 2008 at the Dot Cod restaurant, Central, Hong Kong, and
  2. 'Old World Elegance, New World flavours' ($598.00 inclusive):  Saturday 28th June, 2008 at the RDRG restaurant, Central, Hong Kong

The dinners will feature 6-7 wines from two of Washington State's leading family-owned boutique winereis, Kiona Vineyards Winery and Arbor Crest Wine Cellars.

The pioneers of Washington State's famous Red MOuntain viticultual area, John Williams and his wife, Ann of Kiona Vineyards Winery will be there to tell the story of Kiona and Washington State and lead you throught the wine and food pairings.

Hope to see you are our events!
