Thank you for your support in last year’s Discoveries Winemaker Tour 2009 programme.


We now invite you to join us in the 1st and inaugural tour in our new series of ‘Discoveries Winemaker Tour 2010’, a joint programme by m.a.x. concepts, wine merchant Cottage Vineyards (International) and local wine instructor, Damon Yuen, where each month, a visiting winemaker and Damon, will lead you to discover some of the world’s most exciting and unusual wines paired to a range of exquisite cuisine in various m.a.x. concepts outlets.


This 1st and inaugural tour, entitled, “A Royal Tuscany Reunion’ will star the wines of prestigious Montalcino producer, Castello Romitorio of Tuscany, Italy, producer of the famous Brunello di Montalcino, known as the King of the Tuscan Wines.  The Castello Romitorio Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G.  2004  has been rated 92 points, Robert Parker, 93 points, Wine Enthusiast, and 91 points, Falstaff Magazine.


And thus we present to you two events, all led by Filippo Chia himself, second generation winemaker and owner of Castello Romitorio, a 12th century estate acquired by Filippo’s father, renowned Italian artist, Sandro Chia:

1.     Organic Cuisine, Toscana Wines Winemaker Tour (Thursday 25th March, 2010): Simplylife Foodplace – Citibank Tower, No.3, Garden Road, Central  $508.00/$432.00 NET per person:  A 6-wine, 6-course winemaker dinner allowing the beauty of the Tuscan terroir to shine through amongst a background of organic pasta, fruits, vegetables, and meats.


2.     Tour of Italy Cuisine, Toscana Wines Winemaker Tour (Saturday 27th March, 2010): Maxim’s Café – Cityhall, Lower Block, Central $688.00 / $585.00 NET per person:  A 7-wine, 7-course winemaker dinner featuring dishes stretching from Toscana, Piemonte, Veneto, Sicily, to Alto Adigé.
