Thank you for your support in our last tour, Tour 8 of the Discoveries Winemaker Tour featuring the prestigious Chinon Loire Valley wines of Couly-Dutheil.
We now invite you to join us in the 9th tour of our series of ‘Discoveries Winemaker Tour’, a joint programme by m.a.x. concepts, wine merchant Cottage Vineyards (International) and local wine instructor, Damon Yuen, where each month, a visiting winemaker and Damon, will lead you to discover some of the world’s most exciting and unusual wines paired to a range of exquisite cuisine in various m.a.x. concepts outlets.
Our ninth tour, entitled, “The Taste of Mediterranean Terroir”, 20-22 October, 2009, will star the Mediterranean Languedoc wines of Vins Made in Terranee, a group of four family-owned wineries situated in different locations on the western arc of the Mediteranean between the Pyrenees and the Rhone Valley.
Three of the wineries will be featured in this tour:
- Le Clos des vins d’Amour: in Maury in the Pyrenees-Orientales area
- Le Mas Rouge: in Vic-La-Gardiole in the Herault area
- Le Mas de l’Ecriture: in Jonquieres in the Herault area
Leading the tour will be Mr. Julien Cheminal, winemaker and owner of winegrower Domaine du Mas Rouge.
And thus we enter the Mediterranean, a land blessed by sun, sea, wind, olive trees, and varied altitudes and soils, yielding a spectrum of fanciful, exotic wines, a mixture of aromatic, fresh, elegant, powerful, and deep.
To match with these exciting wines, we have thus chosen to pair these wines with cuisines equally aromatic, exotic, fresh, powerful, elegant, and deep:
- Moroccan cuisine, a mix of Arab Berber, Morrish, Middle Eastern, Eastern, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and African influences and
- Authentic Aztec/Mayan Mexican cuisine, known for its varied flavours, colourful decoration, and variety of indigenous spices and ingredients. Thus there will be NO Tacos with Nacho cheese, no sour cream, nor tomato-based sauces!

釀酒師巡禮旅程九 – 地中海葡萄酒配對傳統摩洛哥菜及古法墨西哥菜
各位朋友:
首先多謝各位的支持,我們在釀酒師巡禮旅程八(Chinon Loire Valley wines of Couly-Dutheil)十分成功。
我們誠意邀請閣下參加釀酒師巡禮旅程九 -- 美心集團旗下的m.a.x. concepts, 村鄉葡萄園(國際)有限公司及葡萄酒培訓講師袁大文先生每月都會邀請世界各地不同的釀酒師來臨香港。 與各位一同欣賞他們與別不同的葡萄酒之餘, 再配合由m.a.x. concepts製作的美食, 讓各位經歷一個充滿色、香、味的旅程。
在第九個旅程,將於2009年10月20-22日舉行,名為”品嚐地中海氣息”,我們會一同品嚐地中海蘭格多克(Languedoc)位於地中海之間的比利牛斯山(Pyrenees) 和羅訥河谷(Rhone Valley)的家族式經營的酒莊所釀製的葡萄酒。
在這次活動共有三個酒莊:

Domaine du Mas Rouge的主人,亦是釀酒師的朱利安舍米納爾先生(Mr. Julien Cheminal)會遠道而來,跟各位分享他的佳釀。
今次我們進入地中海,那裡可以看到和感受到陽光、大海、風、橄欖樹,以及不同的高度和土壤,讓這一處福地出產,充滿異國情調、迷人香味、清新典雅和強勁深厚的葡萄酒。
為了配合這些令人振奮的葡萄酒,我們必須選擇與這些葡萄酒有同樣特質的美食:
1. 摩洛哥菜 --
集合阿拉伯,莫里什,中東,東歐,中東,地中海和非洲的影響所烹調的傳統佳餚。
2. 正宗阿茲台克/瑪雅墨西哥菜 --
