Thank you for your support in our Discoveries Winemaker Tour 2010, a joint programme by m.a.x. concepts, wine merchant Cottage Vineyards (International), and celebrated local wine instructor, Damon Yuen. We have now reached half-time in this year’s tour. Thus, to celebrate in this sixth tour, we propose a dramatic breakthrough in terms of wines, food pairings, and wine events.

Therefore, in our current tour entitled, “Les Vins de Roisin Day and Night, Never in the Morning”, we invite you to discover a wine world beyond the grape, introducing you to the serious gastronomic wines of “crazy” visionary, party-loving Belgian winemaker, Ludovic Boucart, who after studying winemaking in the Universities of Bordeaux and Burgundy and making wine in Saint-Émilion and Puloigny-Montrachet, decided to return to his home garden in Roisin, Belgium to make serious, gastronomic fruit wines, continuing the dream of his father, Jean-Marie Boucart, who in 1993 produced the winery’s first quince wine.

Pajama and Teddy Bear Winemaker Brunch (Saturday 4 September, 2010, 11:30am – 3:00pm at Lawry’s the Prime Rib) ($408.00 / $347.00 NET per person for Cottage Vineyards and Damon's E-mail list): Ludovic’s Belgian late night party habits means the earliest meal he has in brunch but even this is difficult, and thus with bed-head and in full pajamas and slippers, still hugging his teddy bear, he will lead participants in the lush, comfortable environment of Lawry’s the Prime Rib through a wine-paired sit down brunch. Dress code: Pajamas, night dresses, and bring your own teddy bear.

Smoked salmon with giant capers, dill weed, lemon wedge, and cream cheese served on an open poppy seed bagel with (2) a shot of cucumber and tomato gazpacho smoothie
